My father is quite the accomplished painter. He went to OCAD in the 1960s and has taken it up again, now well into his 80s. He's got a few new works hanging in Shoppers World as part of a Visual Arts Brampton exhibition, til end of May. Neckless Tony forever!

Alex Wroten is on the podcast today, as we anticipate part three of his "Gatekeepers Trilogy", the third recording "Diary of a Teenage Prophet" releases this Friday April 17, 2026. Alex’s expertise spans various styles, instruments, outboard gear and creative technology platforms. The New York Times called his “Mosaic” percussion duet, an “absorbing premiere” that “glistens as it seems to rotate, less developing than slowly revealing more of its secrets.”
Alex earned a Master’s in Digital Musics from Dartmouth College on a full scholarship, as well as a Bachelor’s in Music Composition from the University of South Carolina. He also directed the documentary film 23rd Century Giants. We learn a lot about how to get things done in this episode of Industry Tactics, chalk full of tips for the aspiring creative.
