my sister’s house was one of the very first spots i started going to shows in this scene. it was quite different from any other venue i had been to. it felt exciting to see such a cool spot so close to where i lived. i would end up going there multiple times before the old location was shut down.
then.. the boardwalk bowl era started. and honestly, it’s been even better than the old location. i played my first two shows ever at the boardwalk bowl, playing in that little room far off from the rest of the bowling alley. but the space feels much more personal, somehow. you can feel the closer connection with the bands and the audience, and the volunteers running things. my sister’s house always has such an awesome crew running things, even if it’s not the same people. hell last time i was there we had dylan from nursing. running sound check. it was awesome.
my point in all of this is to say.. this venue needs help. a lot of it. but they aren’t asking for much. just enough to stay above water.
$5 to stay alive. $9 to cross the finish line.

i am joining 4 wonderful bands on stage at my sister’s house on 5/21! this show is not advertised as so but for me it will be my single release show, i will be playing the two new songs i just dropped!
doors are at 7pm, the show starts at 8pm! get there early and stay late. buy a ton of merch inside to support local artists and buy the merch outside to support these other amazing bands 😁
most important of all, take a break from your own lives and come have fun for one night. we all need a breather once in a while 👍
