We are proud to share that Fried Frank was honored at Volunteer Legal Advocates’ Annual Benefit last night as its 2026 Pro Bono Partner of the Year. Partner Katherine St. Romain and associate Molly Diamondstein delivered remarks on behalf of the firm at the event.
Volunteer Legal Advocates selected Fried Frank in recognition of our longstanding partnership and commitment to pursuing and securing justice for survivors of domestic violence. Through this partnership, we accept pro bono referrals to represent survivors of domestic violence and their children in matters including civil protection orders, divorce and custody.
In 2025 alone, our lawyers contributed nearly 3,000 hours of pro bono service on 11 matters referred by Volunteer Legal Advocates, supporting survivors of domestic violence and at-risk children.
"Pro bono is woven into the fabric of who we are as a firm. We emphasize that law is a powerful tool that should be used to advocate for those who need a voice," said Kate. "We are extraordinarily lucky to have that tradition, and in no small part because it allows us to partner with incredible organizations like Volunteer Legal Advocates."
