Join Chelsea for a chaotic but fun sewing vlog where she sews up a bunch of knit projects. We plan, paint, chat, and generally have a good time sewing! Our YouTube is linked in bio.
The top view of the Collins pattern is a quick, low yardage sew! It can function in your wardrobe as both kind of a tee and kind of a tank. Worn here with our #SaguaroSet pants on the incomparable @doellingcarolyn

Have you tried our #CollinsDress pattern yet? It comes together quickly with neat insides (featuring a double burrito for the armscyes)! We’ve got a full video sew along for it on our YouTube channel. I sewed this version up in a jersey knit from @blackbirdfabrics 🤎
With #MeMadeMay upon us, I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself. Hey, I’m Chelsea! I started Friday Pattern Company in 2017. I have always loved sewing and knew that my dream career would involve making clothing in some way. I studied fashion design in college but discovered that the fashion industry in the traditional sense was not something I was interested in, so I changed my major and started looking for other ways to connect with sewing and fashion. I worked at a fabric store, I had a handmade dress business, and I worked for a small clothing company. Creating Friday was the culmination of all my experiences, ventures, jobs, and interests.
I think making clothes is the perfect marriage of function and art. Sewing is a skill that has shaped my life and that I cherish deeply. Being able to help or inspire people to sew is my favorite thing about my job. I hope that if you sew a Friday Pattern you get to feel connected with your creativity. I hope that you make something that you love and that it makes you feel good when you wear it. Most importantly, I hope you have fun!

This week on the blog we have Elizabeth of @everything_is_a_suit is styling her #EddyCardiganBlazer and sharing the inspiration behind her personal style 🌟
The #EddyCardiganBlazer will elevate both your handmade wardrobe and your sewing skills 🪡
The Eddy is a fully lined collarless blazer, it features subtly shaping body darts, a back vent, front patch pockets, and a single front button. The sewing process is approachable yet skill building. It will be a satisfying challenge for newer sewists and a fun opportunity to flex your skills for seasoned experts.
Here at FPC we love a good dress 👗 With the latest addition, the Canyon Dress, we wanted to reintroduce you to the Friday family of dress patterns. Have you sewn up any of these dresses?
