I honestly don’t want to believe the tenant intentionally ignore maintenance just because he’s a tenant and not the landlord?

Who exactly is responsible for maintaining the house you live in?
Is it the landlord’s job simply because you’re a tenant?Or do you, as the occupant, have a duty to keep your space clean, functional, and livable?
