[Nuovo Grand Tour 2025 | Francesca Miazzi] Cette année, dans le cadre du programme de résidence Nuovo Grand Tour, nous avons le grand plaisir d’accueillir les artistes Francesca Miazzi et Irene Mathilda Alaimo. Pendant un mois, les artistes vidéastes résident sur le site du laboratoire agriculturel de @providenza_ situé entre les villages de Pieve et Rapale, dans les hauteurs du Nebbiu. Francesca Miazzi développe de nouvelles recherches sur la présence du sacré dans le quotidien en questionnant la douleur comme forme d’élévation spirituelle et de souffrance physique. It reflects on how to transcend the bodily sphere while questioning the role of belief in the attempt to reach and embody an-other state of existen- ce -or non-existence. The sequence of AI images obtained from the video documentation of a pole dancing performance becomes a visual and sound journey through different dimension -or through one that feels like many. The internet-derived concept of backrooms is present as in what supposedly looks the most familiar -such as an office space- can also feel extremely unsettling and foreign. The pole is the connection between the floor and the ceiling, the link between one world and another. It becomes a tool for ascension -and trancenscion between floors-, stretching towards the holy beams of office neon lights. Directed, shot, edited by me.
