This post is bittersweet🥹. I couldn’t be more proud of my 3 girls. 1 in college, the other two on their way. These 3 have been inspirations in the first two years of my teaching career. They have brought out a side of me that I never knew was there. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of pillars to come through my band program. I will definitely miss you and I wish all 3 of you well. ❤️ - Mr. Griggs
Happy anniversary to my wonderful wife JohnBernae Griggs. Thank you for being a sense of peace in my life and someone who always pushes me to aim higher with everything that I do. I pray that our love continues to reach new heights everyday. I genuinely look forward to what God has in store for our future. ❤️
So excited to be on day 3 of working with these students with the 💙University of Memphis💙. Here is a snippet of one of the songs that we are preparing for our concert on Friday. They learned this entire song by ear in 1 hour as a unit🔥. I always love to see students who want to learn and share the same admiration for music that I do. Thanks to @samjamm1 for the opportunity💯. 🔥YEAR 1 of being a band director is finally complete🔥🎉 I can’t begin to express the level of joy that I experienced this year. The amount of support from the administration , colleagues, parents, and the community has been immensely overwhelming. I also achieved perfect attendance, which wasn’t easy, but you can’t expect students to be there for you when you’re nowhere to be found either. Next year is going to be even better. We are not only doubling in size, but we are doubling in respect, integrity, and our perseverance in hard work. See you all next year🐅💚.
