I recorded vocals for this song with the amazing @trgmusic and sent them over to @extrawilliammusic to produce. And produce he did! I’ve been a lot more hands on with some other FRED songs, but for this one, I wanted to hear what William was hearing. He sent me back a finished song, and I was floored. I’ve been sitting on this one for a while, but I’m so happy to finally be releasing it! Thank you to @motherwest for working with me to release it and for being so supportive after such a long break away from music! And finally, thank you to my dear friend @fox_kendall_woods for supplying a line when I was feeling stuck. Can any of you guess which line in the song Fox wrote? 👀

I’ve been thinking about how our relationships to songs change over time, and it’s no different with the songs we write. This song represents a turning point in my life, a letting go of expectations I could never meet, and an opening up to new possibilities.
