On Friday, I released a new full-length album Falling Into Fall, created in collaboration with Emil F (@emiliomburg ).
Emil and I first met when he was a student at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, where I was brought in to mentor his bachelor project. Not long after, we began exploring music together—writing our own songs and producing for other artists—and this album grew naturally out of that creative partnership.
Recorded over three years, Falling Into Fall has been distilling slowly for a long time as we gradually peeled away layers to reveal its true essence.
We are both excited to share it!
“a fall toward something unknown—the beauty of letting go.”
Falling Into Fall is out now on YEAR0001.

[#fallingintofall] Frederik Valentin & Emil F forge a new musical partnership on their collaborative album Falling Into Fall, out today on YEAR0001.
Blending ambient minimalism, folk inflections, and electronic textures, the album traces the thin line between light and darkness—a meditation on transience, impermanence, and the quiet beauty of life’s continual descent.

The 15-minute visualiser is out now.
It captures all nine films, created as the visual side to the tracks from the album ROCK N ROLL WILL NEVER DIE.
Shot across two days, the camera remained quietly observant as new, unplanned sounds and fragments of music emerged — small improvisations, field recordings, gestures toward future compositions.
Some of those have now been released as part of the Deluxe version of the album, which has been retitled:
DEDICATED TO MY FATHER WHO FOUGHT AND DEFEATED 1 MILLION YEARS OF HATE AND VIOLENCE.
The tracks PLAY, MUSIC, SPACE, and OPENING contain echoes of that process — audio debris and memory residue, captured live during the making of the visual piece.
It is a document of time passing, of music in its unscripted state. A reflection on legacy, place, and the way sound lives alongside image, sometimes without asking.
Thank you for engaging with this piece.

Frederik Valentin & Emil F will present a live concert performing music from their album Falling Into Fall released on @year0001online
Created over two years across studios in Copenhagen, the project grew from a mentorship into a creative kinship, shaped by curiosity, experimentation, and obsessive attention to detail. The result is a collection of spacious compositions where gentle acoustic gestures drift through natural electronic winds, forming sonic landscapes that feel both weightless and deeply grounded.
Blending ambient minimalism, folk-inflected melodies, and subtle electronic textures, Falling Into Fall moves through a delicate balance of light and darkness, offering an intimate meditation on transience, impermanence, and the quiet beauty of descent.
Frederik Valentin & Emil F will perform live at 21:00.
