“Kaylee and I had a great tour of Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida 🎨🌴 We learned so much about the Illustration program, including the strong focus on storytelling, concept development, visual communication, and building a professional‑level portfolio. The program blends traditional and digital illustration, real‑world projects, and career preparation for paths like publishing, entertainment, design, and creative industries.
Admissions are portfolio‑based, classes are very hands‑on, and students have access to incredible studios, technology, and supportive faculty. We also learned about scholarships, financial aid options, career placement, and industry connections, which was super helpful for anyone planning ahead and considering art school.
Huge thank you and shout‑out to our amazing student‑led tour guide, Layna Malave — she would say she absolutely “slayed “that tour 😉👏 Thank you for sharing your experience and making the visit so informative and inspiring! Highly recommend touring Ringling if you’re serious about illustration and art careers 🎓✨
