On a foggy ethereal full wolf moon, we welcomed Josephine Hope Frazier earth side (aka Josie, Jo, baby J, and likely many other nicknames to come). She was born 1/25/24 at 5:28pm, a petite 6lbs 5oz, and 18 3/4in. She has mom’s hair and dad’s feet. And she’s pretty great.
On 5/2, the upcoming Jefferson St. Presents First Saturdays will feature two acts who have cut their teeth in the studio more than on the stage in recent years. This will be the live debut of curry! Check out his most recent record, Pines, tracked at Echo Park. You may know Ben Curry Frazier from his work in @arcticcharband and with @thefoolins ... /artist/0NLNYFCW95RwhhZt7UyyBn Pasha and the Poms features Fowler on drums, and Paul A. On guitar/vox/songwriting. The duo will perform songs from a recently finalized self-titled Vinyl LP (recorded at @russianrecording by @damion.information and by Andy Beargie at Echo Park, mixed by BCF). You can get a taste of the music by checking out their EPs from recent years which are out on Bandcamp and 45 vinyl; expect some wild, beautiful songwriting executed with an eclectic blend of electric fingerstyle guitar (a la pentangle and fairport convention).

Introducing our 2025 Hoosier Tree: Firnando Mendoza!
I’m also proud to report that my daughter fully recognizes the IU logo and yells “Ayyyuuuuu!” every time she sees it.
A few words of gratitude for the people who helped bring @themusicofcurry Pines to life.
JR McIntire (@oportunivor , @arcticcharband ) has played music with me for over twenty years. We finish each other’s sentences, both verbally and musically. I asked him to play bass because I knew he’d give these songs exactly what they needed.
Ben Cartha Fowler (@ben.cartha.fowler , @jstmusic.studio ) can do it all. Not only did he play drums and percussion (on songs he learned the day we recorded them!), he also engineered and mixed the album.
Peter Doyle (@pickin_pete ) showed up, plugged in, and absolutely floored us with his pedal steel work. I was so blown away I forgot to take a photo of Peter, but a friend in the studio caught the above photo of me reacting to him playing. A handful of these songs screamed for pedal steel and boy did he answer that call.
Andy Beargie mastered the record, assisted Ben with setup and engineering, and opened the doors to his beautiful studio at Echo Park. He is also not pictured, but his presence was felt from start to finish.
This record began as a handful of rough demos. These people made it sound alive and complete. It was an honor to work with all of you. Thank you.
Pines came together slowly between work, family, and everything else life throws your way.
It’s an Americana Rock record… simple, honest, and recorded to tape.
I’m proud of how it turned out and grateful to the people who helped shape it.
Pines is out now wherever you listen.

9 years (17 total) together. Nobody better to live my life with! We even outlasted this cheesy photo filter app that dated this picture to 1980. Love you @deemfray
