We are immensely grateful to Gareth Auden-Hole for having the whim to capture audio live from the mixing console and for doing an incredible job on the mixing and mastering, to @thewellottawa for being such a superb venue and such gracious hosts, to @_curtisperry for documenting the night with his inimitable photographical virtuosity, and to our friends and fans who continue to support our genre-blending chamber-fusion adventures.

When I was very, very, very young, my Mom purchased some Christmas ornaments. Drums were still not part of my vocabulary but they were in my heart. Why? These items in particular touched me and now, 60+ ish years later they have absolutely the same feeling, but with added tears. Sometimes a tiny spec can create an enormous universe. When I “interact” with some type of percussive instrument (and the list is limitless), pure love. When I used to put those ornaments on the tree, pure love. And this is what I wish to all .. pure unconditional love! Now go practice lulu 😉 .... Peace Every One 🙏
I will call this photo “The Essence”. From my perspective, I see the devotion of the musical journey, the respect of the rendered sounds, the instruments, the participants, the venue - a musical journey - at a moment … at that time. I was told a long time ago, if we can create a “give” to all and “they” return the “give”, a perpetual cycle of “the essence” is created. This is why I am (t)here, for this essential reason. Last night I met this wonderful person, wonderful soul, amazing musician, all around kind fellow. David Cross he is (). Who is he (you may have asked)? See the three albums below the pics of us - he was part of them .. he was part of that King Crimson era. Last night he performed in Ottawa and just made me feel blessed that I could relive some of that music from 1973-74. I told him a true story. Back in the day, I used to stay downtown Montreal late. Missed the metro to go home, so I walked, a 2 hour walk. It was winter, it was snowing, but a gentle beautiful soft white aura of flakes and soft wind. I had three cassettes - the albums shown, and listened to them that night and many other times. Those albums changed me and moved me, and still do. I told him this story and said "your concert brought me back to my early teens" and I was moved again. Moved where? To where I want to go on my earthly journey - deep into my consciousness. Peace to all. Thank you David 🙏
