What makes a good dance floor?
People who are truly in the moment, a crowd that’s really feeling the music.
•
What is the best play time?
1-3
•
What was the idea behind your mix?
Nostalgic, emotional yet reflective journey through techno - a kind of dance through the psyche.
•
Tell us about a magical club moment.
In my first year in Berlin, I played on my birthday in a B2B. At the end of the show everyone surprised me with singing happy birthday at the club, it was pretty special and cute.
•
Why do we need club culture?
The connection, expression, belonging. It’s where underground music and ideas grow, and where there’s more of a freedom of expression. In clubs you find this authentic sense of community that’s hard to find elsewhere, where there’s a deeper connection to music and others.
• How did you start playing music and what drives you?
I played the mandolin when I was younger and wrote songs. I didn’t come into DJing until later on, when I lived in Vancouver, Canada and my friend offered to teach me how to DJ, and then we both became a DJ duo that was pretty immersed in the underground scene there. I love creating sets and sharing my favorite tracks, and being able to have special moments with the crowd when everyone is feeling the music and vibing at the same frequency.
Thank you @franeva_@acudclub
