This week I said good bye to my best friend. On the 10th Of February at 4:30pm, my little mate went to sleep for the last time. How do you say goodbye to your best friend? How do you thank this little being for his loyalty and dedication over almost 18 years? Thousands and thousands of photos and videos of the life and adventures shared with him and our other little love Shazza, who went to sleep 4 years ago. How do you choose the best photos of the best memories of your life, when every moment was the best moment when you were living it with your buddy by your side? So- here I choose just two photos- the first time I saw him, and the last time I saw him. My little love Ralph- Thankyou for sharing your 18 years with me. Thankyou for being my little friend. Thankyou for being the light through my darkest and lowest moments. Road trips, camping trips, Sunday pub crawls and sunny beach days will never be the same without my little mate. To all my family, friends and those who shared time with us over the last 18 years- Thankyou. I really smile and am humbled when I think how wonderful so many people were to him. You never expect anyone to love your pet the way you do, but I’m so touched by the way he was loved by Many. Rest in Peace my little love. #poorralp

A whirlwind two weeks in Colombia. Reunited after 9 months apart. Meeting a family in person for the first time, that I’ve gotten to know via text and video calls over the last two years. Seeing things I never thought I’d see and experiences I could never have imagined. I’ve always believed it’s a powerful thing to know where you come from and visit your motherland. I’ve now learnt how equally important and powerful it is to know the motherland of those you love. By experiencing it through their eyes, their footsteps and their stories, it brings a deeper understanding, appreciation, love and connection. 2025 delivered some great challenges to many of us. Seeing out the end of that year and a the beginning of a new 2026 in such vibrant, exciting and unique place has left a mark. I’m grateful to a new family for their kindness and warmth in welcoming me into their home. I’m grateful to have experienced a life that has been enriched with many adventures, travel, opportunities and experiences that have formed me. I’m grateful to the lessons and difficult times that taught me to keep faith, hope and act with love and grace- when often the temptations of anger, fear and giving up seemed an easier alternative. I’m grateful for the encouragement from family and closest friends to take the leap and have faith that everything would be ok. And even if things didn’t go to plan, everything would still be ok. This support has been the greatest gift of my life.

90 years ago, the greatest of men was born. The kindest, most generous soul, all wrapped up in an intimidating fiery package. Through the hardships he was born into- the greatest trait was that he allowed himself to be safe and vulnerable to the love of his life- my amazing mother. And as a result, they created the greatest love story. When asking my mum why she married him, she said ‘I just love him, I don’t know why, but I just love him’ And he, Adored her. Both my parents said, life was difficult but it was beautiful. The greatest friend, father, son, brother husband and uncle who was always humble and quiet in his achievements, and was rewarded for his perseverance with his greatest of loves- his grandchildren. Everything that matters in life- my parents taught me. Everyday- my heart calls for him, and he responds immediately in the smallest and most significant ways. 90 years of this man, my first love, and the love of my life, My dad, Milorad Pirovic

Love is the most incredible thing in the world. Now - more than ever, we have to fight for love. Here is A little Valentine’s Day love story to remind you how precious love is. After 10 years of marriage- my dad could not afford to buy my mum a ring as he had hoped. He took a piece of wire from a chicken cage and fashioned it into a ring with pliers and gave it to her. As life improved for them, so did his ability to buy her beautiful jewelry and trips overseas. More that 10 years after his death and almost 60 years since he gave it to her- the wire chicken cage ring remains her most valued piece of jewelry. Emperor Diocletian famously replied after being asked to come out of retirement and fix the mess that Constantine (the Great) and co. made: “If you could show the cabbage that I planted with my own hands to your emperor, he definitely wouldn't dare suggest that I replace the peace and happiness of this place with the storms of a never-satisfied greed."
