A protector, a guide, an inspiration for myth...🐴 my horse is best in show! During an exhibition at the Art Students League student salon last week, I am so proud to have won a red dot 🔴 award for an outstanding work in my class. Feeling very lucky to be learning new things and working with a medium that I can be tough with and share a mutual responsiveness with. You have another chance to see the sculpture! It'll be on view again in august in a gallery in the city.

A huge enormous magnificent thank you to everyone who came and saw the show, talked with me about the work, hung out at one of my events, or shared nice words. * ·。+・:*˚:✧。.*✮•° .★+.•✧・,*∵°•。゚☆: *.☽ .* I have some more photos of the opening and events and workshop that I'm hoping to share soon !! 🗒️

We, Our Feet by France Rreally and Ahana Ganguly We, Our Feet is a video/poem about disgust as it manifests in public spaces and the funny and flimsy agreements that emerge between strangers: there’s something gross here, we don’t know what it is, unfamiliar, we know what to do, we’re grossed out, and that disgust is familiar, we’re familiar. Watch on our desktop site until March 25!

KNOWNUNKNOWN: Journey into the Monomyth A solo exhibition by France Rreally January 9 – 24, 2026 Opening Reception: Friday, January 9, 6-8 PM Gallery Hours: Monday + Saturday, 12-6 PM Stephen Street Gallery is pleased to present @franchicky ‘s first solo exhibition in New York City. The exhibition evolves from the myth of the Hero’s Journey. The Hero’s Journey is a common storytelling structure that follows a central character on a cyclical quest that calls them away from everything they know to overcome a central obstacle, then return home transformed by their trials. Stepping into the gallery, the viewer completes the adventure as the Hero, traversing distant landscapes and otherworldly portals alike through encountering moving image and sculpture waypoints that embody crucial landmarks in the story. The works on view present the paranormal as a natural occurrence. Found objects contain magical powers, supernatural visions appear out of common environments, and spiraling between alternate realities is like the passage from day to night. The work mixes references to established magical practices—including scrying, the use of talismans, and sympathetic magic—with touchstones from the artist’s personal experience. Existing somewhere between clear-cut mediums, real and fake, chaos and order, the work reaches towards something present but intangible. However, even while pushing the limits of describing the extrasensory, the show is grounded in reconnecting with foundational human nature through folkloric storytelling and in turn, sparking hidden possibilities in the world around us.

I'm making a zine ! 📜❕🗺️📎📑🖇️📃 The theme is: Crossing the Threshold "Crossing the threshold" refers to a stage in the hero's journey, which is a common storytelling template describing a central character who receives a call to adventure, completes a daunting quest, and then returns home to where they started. Leaving for their calling, their personal transformation begins when they ~cross the threshold~ from the known into the unknown. This zine explores that moment: what it takes to get there, the decisive moment of change, and what comes of it. Some ideas of what might fit: portals, travel stories, fairy rings, amulets, liminal spaces, helpful (or unhelpful) guides, messages received, twilight/dawn, points of no return, gateways... Submissions can be any form of visual or written art that can be printed, including, but not limited to: essays, comix, video stills, poetry, drawing, collage, photos... if you're unsure, feel free to run an idea by me! Submissions Due: Friday, December 19th 11:59PM EST To be released in January 2026 Dm or email any submissions/proposals/questions :o)
