Frances Murray (@franblabs ) will be celebrating the release of her debut album “dreamer” at the hope and ruin on the 3rd of june. a self proclaimed dreamer, songwriter, producer, ex-punk rocker and failed vegan, expect to hear a selection of songs from her album traversing themes of grief, growing and healing.

“Dreamer” has been out for 2 weeks❤️ me and @stuartjclapp did some wicked photos out and about in nature the other day. Response to the record has been so positive and I’m grateful to everyone who’s given it a spin so far!
Next month I’ll be playing some tunes from the record live at @beersandtearsfest@curiousbrewery in Kent. Well excited for that 💅🏻✨

eeeeeeeek so excited that today marks the release of my debut album “dreamer” ✨🌌
I can’t thank you all enough for the support and love for my music over the years - from the BLAB days to now I am eternally grateful.
This album holds a lot of pain and hope simultaneously. I was grieving pretty hard during the writing of some of these songs and the record ended up being a lifeline for me during one of the hardest times in my life. The writing of this record spans nearly 3 years with the woods being originally written in May 2021 and holidays by the sea being written in January 2024. I hope this record finds you where you are and that it can offer you some comfort and peace like it did for me.

Frances Murray is a singer, songwriter and producer from Southend inspired by the raw energy of Third Eye Blind, Alex G and Momma and the tenderness of Big Thief, Boygenius and American Football. She has an album titled “Dreamer” which is out this Friday and was written, recorded and produced by herself with a little help from some friends. Make sure to show up early to catch her set, it’s guna be well good m8.

“Holidays by the sea” the third single from “dreamer” is out now everywhere!! I wrote this one using the cut up technique. Basically i cut up a bunch of words from a newspaper and then rearranged them into a poem that then became the song. It was the first time I’d ever written a song like that and it was so fun to get into a different style of lyric writing. The meaning of the song kind of revealed itself after writing, which is always a beautiful thing to be part of. I really love this one and I hope you guys do too!
“Dreamer” is out next week and I couldn’t be more gassed xxx
