At Frameworks, we know that emotional intelligence is the foundation for success in learning, relationships, and life. When adults model these skills and help kids practice them every day, children grow up to be kinder, more collaborative, and capable citizens. Learn more about these skills in our EQ wheel above!

This is what it looks like when students learn from one another. 💙 Last week was exam week at Tampa Bay Technical High School, and not only did our Teens In Action™ Club members survive the stress, but they also helped their entire student body breathe through it. They hosted an EQ showcase during lunch, teaching fellow students coping techniques and mindfulness strategies. They also shared a “Take What You Need” board filled with affirmations and pocket-sized reminders students could carry through their day. This is emotional intelligence in action, and these students led every bit of it. How do YOU cope with stress? Let us know in the comments 👇 Huge thank you to @smithandassociates for making the Teens In Action™ Club at Tampa Bay Tech possible and for helping students grow as leaders, in and out of the classroom. 💙

Think about a child in your life. You’ve probably seen them react in the moment many times, right? But when they learn to manage their emotions, everything changes. This month, we’re breaking down the five core competencies of emotional intelligence. Today, let’s talk about managing our feelings. Emotional intelligence is more than staying calm under pressure; it’s what allows us to make better decisions and respond thoughtfully rather than impulsively. Managing our feelings doesn’t mean ignoring them or “keeping it together.” It means learning how to process emotions in healthy, productive ways so they don’t take over our thoughts or reactions. Swipe to learn why a child’s ability to manage their feelings is the difference that makes all the difference. Learn more about emotional intelligence and how to help the kids you care about manage their feelings at the 🔗 in our bio. 💙

Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect reminder of something we believe year-round: what happens in the classroom impacts so much more than academics. Behind every student who bounces back from a hard moment, works through conflict, or stays engaged when something feels hard, there’s a skill at work. Emotional intelligence. Swipe to see four practical ways teachers can build EQ into the classroom every day. We’re grateful for all the teachers dedicated to fostering emotional intelligence in our kids. We appreciate you! Visit the link in our bio for more tools and resources for teachers and families. 💙

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the incredible educators who shape our children’s futures. 🍎 You are so much more than teachers. You are steady guides and trusted listeners. You are powerful role models who help children understand themselves, regulate their emotions, and connect with others. The foundation of emotional intelligence you nurture extends far beyond your classrooms into our communities for years to come. Thank you! To recognize the extraordinary care, patience, and dedication our teachers bring to work every day, we delivered them some goodies, made possible by the generous support of the @juniorleagueoftampa . Have a teacher you’d like to recognize? Tag them in the comments so we can celebrate how special they are! 💙

There’s nothing better than a room full of passionate nonprofits coming together around one big goal: making sure every child has a strong foundation for success. We had so much fun at the Gathering For Good event this week hosted by @tampa_club ! We feel grateful to be part of a community that shows up, works together, and is so deeply committed to making a difference. Thank you again to The Tampa Club for making it all happen and for including us. 💙

Big energy and even bigger potential at our Teens In Action™ Leadership Council orientation last night! 🎉 We welcomed 28 amazing Hillsborough County teens (chosen from 70+ applicants!) into this one-of-a-kind program with Frameworks of Tampa Bay and the Children’s Board. The room was full of excitement, new connections, and a shared passion for making a difference. Through this program, students will strengthen their emotional intelligence skills, explore real community challenges, and build the leadership and relationship-building skills so many employers say are lacking. A heartfelt thank you to the @childrensboard_hc for their generous support in making this program possible. 💙

Emotional intelligence is a term that gets thrown around a lot, but what does it actually mean? During the next month, we’ll explain it by exploring each of the five core competencies necessary to navigate any emotion, conversation, or situation. First up: name your emotions. Many people struggle to manage their emotions for one simple reason: they don’t know how to name them. Naming emotions is one of the most powerful and overlooked skills in emotional intelligence. When we can put feelings into words, we reduce stress, gain clarity, and respond instead of react. At Frameworks, this is where we start, because you can’t manage what you can’t name. Swipe to see why naming emotions makes all the difference, and be sure to download our free feelings wheels for kids (preschool through high school) to practice naming your emotions at home. 💙 🔗 in bio

Join us in celebrating a special moment for an extraordinary leader. Congratulations to Elizabeth Reedy on being named a @tbbwmag Women Who Win award recipient in the small nonprofit category! Elizabeth has shaped Frameworks into the impactful organization it is today through her vision, dedication, and unwavering heart. This recognition is a powerful reflection of the passion she has brought to our mission every single day, and we couldn’t be prouder. As Elizabeth shared in her speech: “My time at Frameworks of Tampa Bay has been incredibly meaningful. It is work that matters: helping young people and communities build emotional intelligence, resilience, and connection. I am proud of what I have been a part of, and deeply grateful to the people who have been on that journey with me.” Congratulations, Elizabeth, and thank you for everything you’ve built. Your legacy will continue to inspire us forward. 💙

Upward Effect Project ✨ Something our seniors have been pouring into for months and it showed in every detail. Samiya and Lenora partnered with @frameworksoftampabay to create a space for real conversations around emotional and mental wellness for youth in their own community. From the planning to the execution, their heart, intention, and leadership were undeniable. They didn’t just show up they created impact, sparked conversations, and made people feel seen. So proud of the way they stepped up and followed through. Needless to say… they absolutely crushed it 💛👏
