Petria Lenehan is a painter based in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. With a background in both English literature and fashion design, she brings a unique sensibility to her practice, one that marries visual poetry with a deep attentiveness to material and form. After living in New York for several years, she returned to Ireland, where the Irish landscape now shapes and anchors her work. Her paintings are a meditation on place and belonging. Working primarily in acrylic on linen, she creates luminous, abstracted landscapes that hold both presence and memory. Colour is central to her process, fluid, layered, and shifting, carrying emotional weight and echoing the natural rhythms of the world around her. In Dúchas, Petria presents 23 new works that invite us into quiet, contemplative spaces where the familiar becomes mysterious and the mysterious feels like home. Come celebrate the opening with us, meet the artist, and experience this evocative body of work in person. 📍 Fráma Gallery, Naas 📅 Opening: Friday 12th September, 6pm 🖼 Runs until Saturday 18th October Portrait courtesy of the artist
