Collaboration and reinterpretation are the basic building blocks of music. For this series, we invite two artists to contribute a track and then reinterprete each others work.
For the first installment of fragmented:basics, we invited dear friend and super talented DJ and producer @illousion__ to join our very own @copacetic.161 . We couldn’t be happier with the results!

utzuss is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dresden, where he is also a member and resident of beloved @fragmented.digital
He works with film, performance, and graphic design, and also experiments with sound and music.
In front of a party crowd, he heats up the floor with a fast-paced and playful mix of trance, techno, and hyperpop, jumping between genres, always keeping a focus on striking vocals and a good time.
For this Select, however, he turns the BPM down a few notches and presents you a mix of floaty deep house and zesty groove beats, while remaining true to his love for vocals and funny noises. A bubbly mix perfect for the upcoming summer days.

Lennart is our all-rounder. Although he joined us later on, he’s now an indispensable part of the label. His keen sense of music, his interest in all other areas, and his willingness to help set him apart just as much as his ability to take on responsibility while being reliable in every way possible.
All these skills are, of course, shaped by a deep enthusiasm for club culture. That means not only being active at events, but also possibly spending hours on a Sunday lost in the depths of Bandcamp.
As a DJ, technician, and artist care coordinator, he is just as valued here as he is at @objektkleina . And he does all this alongside his day job in semiconductor research.

Acid Adams (they/he) is a trans-queer artist, researcher and DJ based in Dresden/Germany, where they are resident at @objektkleina , @objektkleina.teaser . and @midi.dance party. Adam‘s djing journey started during their first studies in Essen and took on a more serious approach after moving to Dresden in 2010. Through the years, they digged into many genres, released a few tracks, curated a V.A. EP for @uncannyvalley.de records and organized parties, concerts and feminist events.
Adam’s selection concentrates where „rave stabs splinter, acid swirls, beats distort“, Philip Sherburne once wrote about their podcast for Uncanny Valley.
For the fragmented: select mix they are dipping into dubbing sounds, reaching from Techno to Jungle and DnB.

ELLI B stands for groovy, techno-infused sounds. Her sets are high-energy and often play with hip-hop and Latin vibes, as well as striking cool vocals. ELLI B brings energy and tangible emotion to the dance floor: direct and full of character.

From the underground between Magdeburg and Berlin, Boubacar Aziz Dembelé moves fluidly between worlds: photographer, model, skateboarder, DJ. Shaped early by skate culture and the raw, club architecture of Saxony-Anhalt with Berlin influence, he found his way into electronic music through minimal, deep, and uncompromising sounds.
His selections reflect life in motion — sometimes laid-back and deep (deephouse, disco), sometimes fast, driving, and unapologetic old-school techno.
Mood to mood. Bar warmth to BUMM BUMM BUMM.
This mixtape captures that duality: rhythm as reflection, sound as autobiography.
