It feels very strange posting a photo like this from the city that made you who you are and apologies if this is triggering for anyone affected by the recent fire in Glasgow but it’s impossible to be quiet on this.
Glasgow made Frightened Rabbit. The same way Glasgow makes all the people it spews out. Not all those people are great but it spews them out all the same and it’s not everywhere that can stand behind a slogan on a building and a traffic cone on some cunts head and make it iconic but Glasgow does and always will.
If you, or anyone you know has been directly impacted by what happened here then please comment below tagging the business or message us directly and we’ll share any fundraising pages or if you just want to share how sad you are about it then that’s also fine because is cunts make Glasgow.

When you get @frabbits and @heartofmidlothianfc together.
Out this morning running and reminded of this time we pulled this together in the final weeks before they ripped down the old main stand a place chock full of memories.
No matter what happens on the pitch, football can give you some amazing moments and this was one of them.
RESTOCKED!!!
You sold us out of the sweaters and beanies so quickly it was a bit of a panicked scramble to get more but they’re in and we added more sizes that were requested too.
If you’re buying in time for a festive gift or you want to wear your beanie whilst you destroy Grandma at Trivial Pursuit we recommend getting your order in by the 15th for delivery next week.
I don’t really know what I want to say about this night that seems to have taken on such meaning in such a short space of time. I often wonder about the motives of people covering our songs but what I can see in every video I’ve watched and photo I’ve seen of last night is just pure love and celebration and maybe wee bits of sadness but that’s important too.
To know how much Scott’s art means to so many people is something I’ll never tire of seeing and maybe next year I’ll have the courage to join everyone in the hall but for now I just need to say thanks. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, their passion, their craft to keep these songs being sung.
And a special, massive, I love you so much thanks to the incredible David Weaver who is truly one of the most special people I know and who is responsible for getting all these people in to this room to sing these songs.

We hope your December has got off to a good start. It’s that time when you can wake up and eat chocolate before brushing your teeth, say yes to cream on everything and for some reason all drinks now come inexplicably laced with nutmeg and cinnamon. Anyway, you’re probably stressing about what to get for your Secret Santa this year. You know Pete likes crosswords but the jumbo puzzle book you got seems a little cheap so you need something else to throw in there. Well if Pete also likes Scottish music, cutlery, hats and sweaters then we have you covered.
We are excited to reveal two new items with designs from a 7” box set release of singles from The WInter Of Mixed Drinks in 2010. These objects were all hand drawn on each Living In Colour sleeve by Scott, individually signed and numbered so every one is unique. There were only 500 pressed so if you managed to get your hands on one then hold it tight and don’t put it on Discogs you prick! Scott’s fascination with cutlery and everyday items, especially forks can be seen throughout a lot of the artwork and merch but this specific drawing has never been seen elsewhere other than on the vinyl singles.
When we were discussing these drawings with our friend and designer, @dltdesigner he realised that he may have a few extra sleeves that never got used in a box somewhere. After a quick hunt the sleeves were discovered and we thought it would be a wonderful thing for some of these signed, hand drawn sleeves to go out in to the hands of people who might also like said drawing on a hat and a sweater too. So the first 30 purchases of the hat and sweater bundle will also come with one of the original sleeves(no vinyl included). We also discovered that none of the band members have one of these single box sets and probably couldn’t afford to buy one so please consider us when you look at them longingly on your shelves!

As always we understand this time of year can be difficult for a lot of people and financial burdens can weigh heavy so please be kind to each other and yourself and remember a hug and a helping hand can go a lot further than a wooly hat and a jumper.

Happy Birthday to our man. Our friend, brother, bandmate. We miss you immeasurably.
The world is blessed with being left with your music but fuck, I could do with hearing your laugh again instead.
If you miss him too, play his music and play it loud. Raise a glass like he would and keep yourself warm.

Recently, been thinking about Owl John and all the music and records we made - those experiences and memories timestamped by ideas and melodies coming out the speakers, images from distant studios many years ago. This takes me to a woody old school on the west coast of Scotland lots of tea, chocolate and a little whisky consumed.
The vinyl has had a repress and is available in all the greatest record shops plus our new web-store.
Hopefully some new people find this and get their lives in 2025 stamped with these songs. Still as powerful and relevant as the day it was made.
Owl John’s self-titled album returns on vinyl with a limited-edition 20-page zine. This solo musical project by Frightened Rabbit vocalist and guitarist Scott Hutchison was his space to create freely - crafted on the Isle of Mull, finished in LA, and embraced by fans ever since.
A poignant piece of his legacy, revisited.

Although we couldn’t make it along to the Sing The Greys evenings at @tolboothstirling this weekend seeing all the pictures and hearing about what special nights they were really really means everything to us. We truly miss being in sweaty rooms with everyone and hearing you all sing and swear as though lives and loves might depend on it.
We want to say a massive thank you to @nobadyersel who is the most wonderful of humans for organising it and doing it with such passion and respect for Scott and the legacy he has left. Also every single artist and musician who got involved to keep the words of one of Scotland’s great bards alive.
And of course thank you as always to anyone who was there in the crowd. Even without seeing everyone from the stage each night we feel your support and your shared pain and truly truly know we have the best fans in the fucking universe.
Something absolutely carries on.
Keep Yourself Warm

We came together again last night, for night 2 of Sing The Greys, where the wonderful Tolbooth House Band, all of our brilliant guests singers, and our lovely host Ally gave us a second night of incredibly moving and celebratory performances. We loved every minute of it. Thanks to everyone who joined us, to sing along to Frightened Rabbit, you made it so special.
Thanks also to our excellent partners Tiny Changes

‘Sing The Greys’ will take place on 6 and 7 December in partnership with @tinychanges , the charity set up in memory of Scott, the hugely influential musician and artist who passed away in May 2018.
