Trademark Pending! One of the first things I did with the campaign funds was secure the FPV Guidebook™ trademark. The recent IP issues with ExpressLRS kinda freaked me out a lotta bit. 😯 That was a huge wake-up call. Creator and Manufacturer Portal FPV Guidebook App has a backend CMS. Users can apply for a Creator or Manufacturer role to edit and/or publish products. Manufacturers can manage their own products in the catalog. 📲 We will focus on onboarding Manufacturers first before Ceators as they will already have this content. This feature needs more testing so we will prioritize Manufacturers initially then open submissions up to community Creators. The app is meant to be a searchable repository of components. The Web CMS feature makes it very easy for companies to upload thier own products themselves. On upload to the catalog, the product details and specifications are added to its knowledge base and the AI agent can answer queries more accurately based by its inclusion. FPV Guidebook App is here! I’ve actually been thinking about building an FPV Guidebook App since 2024. At that time, I didn’t have the resources nor know anybody that could help. Since then, I sat on the topic. Fast forward to today, AI is making everything possible to anybody. Shit, I don’t get any design work these days because anybody can create their own visual assets now. Literally anyone. Personally, I don’t need AI to design but as far as software development AI unlocks a new level of potential. Since winter, I’ve been diggin’ into this whole vibe coding thing. It’s been a huge learning curve but over the past 10 weeks I’ve built a pretty solid app with a stable architecture. Think of it as the book series in a searchable app with an AI agent trained on FPV. I now have a working Beta in iOS and Android that along with a few other pilots have been beta-testing for the past few weeks. They’ve helped me target and fix a lot of issues and glitches. The app is almost ready for primetime but still needs a bit more stress testing with a larger user base. This is where you can help. Up until now, I’ve been bootstarpping this project and that works for internal testing but to launch it publicly at scale, there needs to be a few things in order including an adequate data services plan.
