📽️ The Vision Began…
On June 5, 1967, a small group from First Presbyterian Church planted a seed of faith—a vision for a Christ-centered school rooted in academic excellence. This dedication photo captures one of the first steps in that journey.
Today, we look back with gratitude and share a special video that unpacks the journey that brought us to where we are now. From a bold idea to a thriving school community, God has been faithful every step of the way.
🎥 Watch and celebrate the story of FPD.

At FPD, graduation is more than a ceremony. It’s a sending. 🎓❤️🖤
Last week, teachers and staff filled each senior’s Bible with handwritten prayers, encouragement, and truth to carry into the next chapter. Because Christian education is about more than preparing students for college. It’s about preparing them for a life rooted in Christ. #GoViking
In this episode of Educated & Equipped, Brady McHugh and Major Simmons share what really shaped their time at FPD—from tough losses and injuries to finding joy, purpose, and a deeper faith.
It didn’t happen overnight.
It took growth, discipline, and learning what it means to lead with character.
Now?
They’re walking into what’s next confident in who they are and whose they are.
This is what it looks like to be prepared to change the world for God’s glory.

Our fifth graders had an incredible time exploring Washington, D.C. last week, bringing history to life as they experienced our nation’s capital firsthand. From walking through historic landmarks to learning beyond the classroom, this trip was filled with discovery, memories, and lots of fun along the way. ❤️🖤
We are so thankful for the teachers, chaperones, and families who helped make this experience possible for our students! #GoVikings

Through Step Into 6th Grade, our fifth graders met the people who will guide them next year, walked the halls, and started building connections before day one even arrives. Because at FPD, students don’t just move up… they’re prepared, known, and supported every step of the way.
Middle school isn’t something to fear, it’s something to look forward to. #GoVikings
