The Daylilies are starting to wake up 🌼👀
We’ve already spotted a couple blooms in the Ohio Hybridizers Historic Daylily Garden, which means peak color is right around the corner!
Visit from late spring through summer to explore more than 850 varieties of blooming daylilies, arranged by the decade they were introduced. Located just south of the Entry Plaza, the garden bursts with color while showcasing the rich history of one of the world’s most beloved perennial plants.
Every cultivar featured was bred and registered by Ohio hybridizers and is maintained in partnership with the Metropolitan Columbus Daylily Society.

“Why is the Century Plant taking forever to bloom?”
Agave Americana is monocarpic, meaning it blooms only once before it fades. The plant puts all its energy into producing this spectacular bloom. It takes time, but we’re excited to watch the process unfold!
