‘MONUMENTAL’
Dec 1, 2024 - Apr 12, 2025
This Sunday!! The Fundación Pablo Atchugarry in Miami opens its doors for the inaugural exhibition of “Monumental” by its founder, Pablo Atchugarry.
The opening reception will take place Sunday, December 1st from 12-7 pm. This event is free & open to the public.
The exhibition showcases his iconic marble works and painted bronze pieces. In his marble sculptures, Atchugarry begins by drawing blue lines directly onto a block of stone to guide his hand; however, he doesn’t strictly follow the predetermined sketches but rather lets the stone reveal its forms, allowing his hand to submit to the material’s possibilities.

Coming this Miami Art Week! Pablo Atchugarry: Monumental | December 1, 2024 - April 12, 2025
In the realm of contemporary sculpture, Pablo Atchugarry’s work stands as a testament to the profound dialogue between artist and material. Marble stone is transformed through vertical contours and curves that multiply throughout, guiding one’s gaze upwards, giving the illusion of infinite ascension– not least when the figures are rendered in bronze, coated with glossy vivid reds and blues, intensifying these linear shadows. ‘Monumental’, presented at Fundación Pablo Atchugarry, delves into the intricate process behind Atchugarry’s masterful sculptures, revealing the inseparable balance between technical precision and artistic intuition.
The opening reception will take place on Sunday, December 1st, 2024 from 12pm - 7pm
