today is my birthday, and I am so fortunate to get to spend it doing exactly what I love. THANK YOU!
a little bit of how I got here, since I always enjoy learning about the humans behind the accounts-
I started resale at 14, buying at thrift stores and garage sales and listing on ebay, which I continued throughout college. Biology was my first love and still very much is, but it didn’t quite love me back.
after graduating with a bio major from CWRU, I worked in telecommunications sales before shifting to an immunology lab studying how T cells change with age. I then went on to start a PhD in pharmacology at UC Irvine, which also took me out of my home town of cleveland which I never thought I’d leave. There I worked in a lab studying endocrine disruptors in the environment such as tributyltin, PCB and fludioxonil, their effects on epigenetics and obesity. I briefly dissected mouse retinas studying retinoblastoma, before walking away with a masters.
I moved to LA and started working remote for a family members company in tech. I loved LA, but also hit a low point mentally, which prompted me to look inward. I followed the person I was with at the time to NYC, briefly living in chelsea, which fell apart soon after.
I started this page the same week I left that relationship, pouring everything I used to in others, towards myself. I picked atlanta to settle down and start over, also growing my collection of cats. getting laid off of my full time job last year was just the right push I needed to fully show up for myself, now doing this full time.
every day I thank my lucky stars to get to do this and barely understand how it all happened! I cant say thank you enough 🙏🏼🥹💜
