Okay I’m so sorry this is a bit linked-in but here’s some work stuff I’m super proud of
1. Continued facilitating in schools, pupil referral units and youth justice systems on healthy relationships, sex education, abuse prevention and working with young girls who are at risk of exclusion.
2. I finished my IC training! With the most amazing people.
3. I launched my local professional network - Ensemble, for people in Waltham Forest who work in the performing/creative arts. Now with 120 members! I’ve met new friends and loads of my fucking cool neighbours
4. Directed my first musical, it was so cute and wholesome and we sang about scissoring with delight and abundance
5. First music video with my work wife, I hope we get to arrange more lesbians in bathtubs
6. I did some lecturing! Italia Conti and UAL
7. Power in the union! Genuinely gassed to be a BECTU member, IC branch - getting to meet so many amazing colleagues who are pushing the work forward and advocating for us is sick
8 - 11. SCREEN! Did two short films in a week, they couldn’t have been more different, but the thing they had in common was the dedication from the actors, support from other crew and the amount of lollipops given out
12 - 18. STAGE! Did Intimacy Direction for 8 shows/projects covering abortion, robot dogs, evil computers, dark rooms, witches, transition, teenage love, pride, bdsm, and sometimes just a cute little smooch 💋
19. Promised myself I would learn to drive so I can expand my work outside the tube network - and I did!
