Real talk. I never thought I’d have to do this alone.
Eleven years ago I started this little dream in a tiny NYC bedroom while working full time for Dr. Martens 🥾🖤.
Me a tiny room, a bunch of crystals, and absolutely no knowledge of jewelry making.
Matthew started helping within a few months, helping at markets, hauling bins, hyping me up when I was exhausted. Before I knew it, he was part-time, then full-time, taking over the back-end of the business so I could live in the creative side. We built this thing together.
What started as late nights and market weekends turned into both of us working full time for my little dream. (It was honestly not his boyhood dream to make jewelry for the cool girls but he was determined to help me do it-he wanted to play soccer for united 😜-)
Working from home allowed us to make the move south from NYC to Savannah.
Then that freedom allowed us to leave Savannah, get an RV and spend two whole years living and working on the road.
Two years side by side, 24/7 in a tiny 300 sq foot traveling home, building, traveling, working, living in the moment . I’ll always be grateful we said yes to that adventure.
When I lost Matthew, I honestly didn’t know how I would ever walk back into the studio and do this without him.
Doing this alone wasn’t the plan. It’s heavier. It’s quieter. It’s harder in ways I can’t really explain. There’s only one of me now, one brain, one set of hands and that changes everything.

15 years ago, I boarded a plane for a long trip and one wild mission: Ending up in England to steal this boy…
I finally made its few weeks later, and ended up crashing at his Nana’s place. She had *no idea*—and let’s just say he definitely got in trouble for that later… 🫠
(I also had no idea that she had no idea 😳)
We traveled, exploring some towns, living in the moment & one of my favorite memories is him taking me to a big Christmas market in Manchester & drinking mulled wine… It was magic.
That trip? It changed everything, and a few months later, Matthew let me steal him from England.
13 years later I lost him & I will probably say this forever but it still doesn’t seem real. Like it can’t be true that I have to now carry on without the boy who made me laugh 213 times a day or would be singing to the chihuahuas while washing the dishes or looking for aliens from behind the RV in the mountains.
Going into the holidays is HARD, and I know I’m not alone in that. It’s tough for so many people, for so many reasons. I put on a brave face but I cry every day. I miss my life and my best friend…
So please… be kind to people, you never know what they are going through.
Life isn’t always easy, and everyone could use a little extra kindness. 🖤
real talk — i messed up the dice rings 🎲
i resin coated them to protect them. looked great. then i noticed air bubbles and defects under the coating. not what i wanted to send out into the world.
they’re not perfect. i’m telling you upfront. but they’re still pretty cool. if you’ve ever messed something up and had to just “roll” with it anyway, hi, we’re the same person 🖤
