FOX4's Scholar Athlete of the Week: Tyler Dye, Lawrence High School Senior! 👟
Tyler has built an impressive track and field career at Lawrence High School, earning a podium finish at the KSHAA 6A State Championship, winning a Kansas State Relays title and breaking the school's javelin record this spring.
He will be continuing his education and athletic career at Creighton University to throw javelin.
Beyond athletics, Tyler is recognized for his leadership and dedication in and out of the classroom. He is a recipient of the Reece Wright-Conklin and Nikki Wright memorial scholarship.

Kansas golfer Bryce Pinter, a senior at Maranatha Christian Academy, is proving dwarfism doesn't define limits, it defines resilience. Competing with no special accommodations and using the same clubs as everyone else, Bryce has finished Top 10 in every tournament this season and recently shot a career-best 77.
Off the course, he's already helped raise millions through his advocacy work with Variety KC. Now, he's chasing two dreams: qualifying for state…and one day going to Augusta National.
