Dubai Design Week was a powerful reminder that the best design always comes back to connection. Across Dubai Design District (d3), from large-scale installations to conversations on AI and sustainability, the focus was clear: design’s real impact lies in how it brings people, places, and ideas together.
It’s a philosophy we live by at our studio. Whether creating brand spaces, immersive experiences, or future-focused designs, our process starts with understanding people - their behaviours, needs, and what matters to them. Just as DDW showed, great design isn’t about complexity, it’s about creating something that feels intuitive, human, and deeply connected.

Parklands Dundee redefines student living with a perfect balance of energy and calm. Inspired by the building’s industrial heritage, the design combines raw character with soothing natural tones to create spaces that both inspire and restore. Serene bedrooms offer private retreats, while vibrant communal areas encourage connection and community. The result is more than accommodation—it’s a contemporary sanctuary for student life.

A fantastic evening at Portobello Library, with @community_competitions_ hosting a public exhibition - great to see so many wonderful entries, looking ways to enhance and reimagine facilities on Portobello Prom.
