💐⭐️ 💐⭐️ 💐⭐️ 💐⭐️ 💐⭐️ 💐⭐️ 💐⭐️ Tanya Mendoza-Cortes was highlighted at the Clayton County Celebration Of Literacy. She got Highest MAP Lexile Growth - Grades 3-5. She was one of the few students who were recognized for their outstanding performance in English and Language Arts in the 25-26 school year. This is a wonderful accomplishment and we are so proud of her! #recongition #mapgrowth @ccpsnews #ccpsbuildingabettertomorrowtoday #ccpsbuilders

Our partner in education SPARC has recongized students who participated in the Book Buddies program throughout the year. These students read with a volunteer every week. The students received gifts cards for Pizza Hut, Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s, and more! We want to thank Ms. Williams for supporting our scholars. #SPARCbookbuddies @singleparent411 @ccpsnews #ccpsbuildingabettertomorrowtoday

The ESOL team is so proud of their ELs who exited the ESOL program this year as well as last year. The scholars celebrated with an ice cream bar!🍦🎉🥳 We encourage them to read books this summer 📚and keep up the good work! 😎 Here are some ways to keep the students sharp over the summer. 1. Encourage Daily Reading: Encourage reading for 15-20 minutes in English or their native language. 📙 2.Use the Library: Utilize the local library’s summer reading program to find free, accessible books and bilingual materials. 3. Journaling/Writing: Encourage keeping a summer journal, writing letters to friends, or creating a family blog. 📝 4. Practice English Everyday: Encourage talking about daily activities, what they are learning, or plans for the week. 🗣️ 5. Enroll in a summer program ☀️

Ms. Tidwell‘s class are now published authors! Together they wrote and illustrated the book, We Shine Just Being Ourselves. At their release party each student got to read the page they designed. 📖 We want to shout Mrs. Tidwell and Mrs. Lane for coordinating this project and we have to thank Nabrin Noor (Poinciana‘s mom) for designing the cover page. #ProudAuthors #readingandwriting @ccpsnews @literacy_is_life_ccps #ccpsbuildingabettertomorrowtoday #ccpsbuilders #builtclaytonstrong @studentreasures_publishing
