It's with great sadness and regret that we announce the closure of Foundry616 from the end of June 2025.
Despite considerable effort, Foundry616 has struggled to cope effectively in the very challenging post-Covid trading environment.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the artists who have performed at Foundry616 since we opened in 2013 and who made it such an important club that was central to the Sydney jazz scene.
Since opening, Foundry616 has presented almost all of Sydney's leading jazz musicians and many promising ones whose careers were about to blossom. We were also unique in bringing to Sydney many musicians from interstate and overseas.
From 2013-2019, Foundry616 was the principal venue for the Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival.
We would also like to thank our staff (past and present) for their work and dedication, and extend such thanks to you, our patrons, who loved and supported Foundry616 for so many years.
