Every Foundation session consists of our three pillars of treatment: Education, Manual Therapy, Exercise Prescription & Progression
✨ Education — Awareness is key. Your therapist will take time in every session to help you understand your body’s mechanics, movement patterns, and strategies for prevention and improvement.
💆♂️ Manual Therapy — This is not 'stretching'. Our therapists are trained in advanced manual therapy methods, including joint mobilizations, neuromuscular facilitation, joint distractions, mobilization with movement, and manipulation to restore your movement with reduced pain and increased mobility.
Effective manual therapy opens up a trusting relationship and sets the stage for progress.
🏋️ Exercise Prescription and Progressive Exercise — Homework! You will leave every session with something to work on. But it doesn't stop there. Exercise and function will be progressed so you can handle more load.

I am 8 weeks postpartum and officially starting the rebuild.
While I honestly can’t wait to get back into running and training again, I also wanna do it slowly, safely and confidently instead of rushing back too soon.
Right now, the biggest thing for me is understanding where my body is currently at and what I need to work on before getting back into running.
So I went to see @physiotherapistholly at @foundationphysio and she’s gonna help me through this whole postpartum rebuild process. They also have a really great running program, which I’m hoping to get into once my body is ready for it.
And honestly, hearing that my pelvic floor and core are already recovering really well was such a nice feeling. The female body is actually crazy.
For now, it’s all about rebuilding, getting stronger and taking it one step at a time.
Pregnancy and postpartum puts your body through SO much, and even if you’re not in pain or dealing with symptoms, I honestly think every postpartum woman could benefit from seeing a pelvic floor physio.
So if you’ve been thinking about booking the appointment (it’s covered under most insurance), this is your sign :)
