I was 10 years old when Fellowship came out. For Christmas that year I got gifted the books and a LOTR pencil case, because I wouldn’t shut up about it. Like so many, I have such affection for those films and Tolkien’s writing. The power of hope, fellowship, to never underestimate the underdog, was such a gift to receive as a kid.
I gravitated to Legolas because phonetically it sounds like Nicholas! And he was so cool! 🏹The Silvan Elves were my favourite of the elves. They were confident, graceful, agile, efficient, powerful, flawless, harmonious, calm, wise, and had an affinity with nature. A boy from school once came up to me, “Your ears are kind of pointy, are you an elf? You’d be a good Legolas.” That was like the compliment of my life. The closest I thought I’d ever be to someone thinking I was an Elf.
I would of freaked out and been honoured, even if I got invited to play a rock, how much I love this world!
Here I am on the set of The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power. Getting to play one of only 4 of the Silvan Elves to debut in the new series!

A little glimpse into the rehearsal room for Unforgettable.
From the laughs, the chaos, the generosity, and all the moving parts slowly coming together, it’s been such a joy being part of the process of bringing this original Greek-Australian work to life.
There’s something really special about working on the world premiere of a new play with a creative team who so deeply understand the culture, humour, family dynamics, and heart at the centre of it. Getting to do that under the writing and direction of Nicholas Ambrose, whose scriptwriting background and long relationship with this story run deep, has been a real privilege.
It’s made even more meaningful by the fact that we’re creating it at Mytilenian House – the former Windsor Theatre, a beautiful Art Deco building and now such an important cultural home for the Mytilenian Greek community. With my own family roots in Lesvos, that connection feels deeply personal. It also feels like the perfect home for the world of White Castle and the wedding reception we’re bringing to life.
The play is an English-speaking play with some Greek, with English surtitles throughout – so everyone is invited in!
The excitement is already building… opening night is sold out, other performances are close behind, and we haven’t even opened yet.
Ending with the invitation, because you’re all officially invited to the wedding of the millennium.

Happy 60th Birthday to my beautiful, special mum, Patty!
Mum, you are one of the most inspiring people I know; positive, resilient, graceful, bright, and so full of life. You light up every room you walk into. You looked like a movie star, Mum! When you were walking up to your party, people were literally turning their heads saying, “wow!”, “she’s so beautiful!”, “Who is she!”
I’m the second child, and people have said to my younger sister Deanna and me all our lives (still now), “your mum is so beautiful and young,” so you can imagine what my older brother, George, who’s 4½ years older than me, would get. Even with my nephew and nieces - her grandchildren - people think she’s their mother!
You always meet life with strength, dignity, resilience, hope, and fire. You never play the victim – you just keep rising. That strength, warmth, and spirit is something I have always admired in you.
The most beautiful, naturally maternal mother, grandmother, wife, and woman – inside and out.
So grateful to celebrate you and your 60 incredible years.
