An interesting part of constellations is that although the stars that comprise them seem to be within close proximity to each other in our celestial sphere, they often lie at hugely different distances from earth. These stars we derive patterns, shapes and meanings from all have their own motion and so over large periods of time like tens to hundreds of thousands of years, the constellations actually change enough to be unrecognisable.

Taurus Grotesk secures a position between the extremes of clinical rationality and impractical weirdness, which affords it character and utility. Its origins lie in the lively, early 20th-century German Grotesk, Venus. Although it inherits features from Venus, it builds upon the legacy of the spirited design through interpretation rather than the mere duplication of outlines.
The high-waisted capitals introduce a consistent flavour that is recognisable, and which charms across all seven weights. Flared terminals with a crisp bite provide texture and legibility to body copy and remain subtle in headlines. Heavily slanted italics offer a distinct emphasis in smaller sizes and enable energetic communications at larger sizes. The narrow horizontal proportions and discreet descenders allow economical typesetting, especially in digital environments. In sum, Taurus Grotesk captures and preserves the essence of a seminal classic. This allows contemporary designers to harness the rhythm, tone and warmth needed for expressive typography, all in a versatile package.
