What is Functional Medicine? And why it matters. Functional Medicine is a systems of biology grounded approach to health and disease by identifying and addressing the root cause of the issue. It’s important because the outlook and cost of disease continues to rise, daily. This whole body based approach has proven to reverse this ongoing issue to strengthen the healthcare system overall. More importantly, provides longer sustainable outcomes for patients. This approach is a true catalyst of transformation for healthcare, treating the root cause and restoring healthy functioning humans back to their natural states through their own personal experience. — I’m currently on my journey (about halfway done!) to become a @instituteforfxmed certified practioner. Along side my RN, BSN… and in a few quick years MSN, FNP. I’ll be able to have my own increase in professional satisfaction in an honest way of approaching health and how patients deserve to be cared for. Taking care of our bodies, what we put in them, etc. is EXTREMELY important. And it starts with a trusting rapport and education. Look forward to sharing more about this through the rest of my career. Welcome to the journey of honest, transformative health. More info? February you were nourishing with color 🌈💌🌱🌟 Halfway through semester 5, and I’m oh so greatful! Learning to provide and care has been a challenging blessing. Yet, learning to slow down and take care has been even more fruitful—Spending time reading light hearted novels, creating fueling bowels, baking, time with the loved ones, greatful for it all! Praying March brings blessings and health to all- along with spring flowers, warm temps and sunshine 🌞
