In Greek, the word is tetelestai -
a word they stamped on receipts meaning a debt was PAID IN FULL.
Not “you still owe.”
Not “try harder.”
Paid. In. Full.
Skaters are constantly chasing the next trick, the next level, the next spot, the perfect line, or the next rush.
But grace isn’t earned like that.
With Jesus, there’s nothing to chase, nothing to land, nothing to prove, nothing to strive for.
The work is finished -
The price for ALL sin has been paid -
He paid the debt He didn’t owe,
Because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay.
It’s a FREE gift from God.
