Hello Collective! Please join us tomorrow as we’re bringing a final hurrah to our 4 week celebration. We just hit our two year anniversary, and things are looking bright for The Collective. Joining us for this special occasion, is our good friend @kennybirge of @forum_snow . He’ll be holding the drawing for the final package from Forum Snow. Festivities kick off at 4PM pst / 7PM est on our FB page. Hope to see you there!
Thanks to everyone who’s been part of these past few weeks and especially the last couple of years! We’ve had an absolute blast on this journey and truly hope it continues for a long time to come. None of this would be possible without all of you supporting, contributing, sharing stories, and keeping the Forum spirit alive.
Cheers
Arlen Robles and Simon Lavoie

The 147–148s
JP was the first of the Forum 8 to introduce a true “jib board” pro model. That move opened the door for the rest of the team, and in the years that followed, we saw that influence spread across the entire industry.
Honestly, it’s no surprise that JP was once again ahead of the curve, this time pushing a new standard in board length and shape specifically for street riding. He wasn’t just riding differently… he was redefining what the setup should look like.
We all remember seeing that blue base in Technical Difficulties and thinking: what is going on here?!
Shorter, looser, more playful and somehow it just worked.
Did you ever own or ride one of these?
I did and it’s insanely fun, especially on those slushy spring days.

Forum’s 1999/2000 board line got the Tech Deck treatment when they started making snowboards. The first series boards were shorter, thinner, and had a 4-hole binding pattern, and came in 4 variants: Peter Line (151), Bjorn Leines, Devun Walsh (153) and DS (156). The second series were revamped, bigger, wider, 2-hole binding pattern, slicker base/better print, and came in 4 variants: JP Walker (147 & 154), TS (155) & DS (159). Both series came with green bindings based off of Forum’s limited edition green bindings from that season.
1/2: My personal collection of Forum Tech Decks. I drilled holes in the decks of the first series so i could use them as keychains (chain still attached to the DS).
The base of the Bjorn Leines board was autographed by BJ at a Volcom team meet & greet before the Redbull Heavy Metal contest downtown Portland.
3-12 are all found images of ones people have listed for sale (always for a ridiculously high price)
3: All 4 variants from series 1
4/5: PL (Series 1)
6/7: BJ (Series 1)
8/9: DW (Series 1)
10/11: JP (Series 2)
12: DS (Series 2)
