Pre-install walk-throughs are where a smooth stone project actually starts 🪨✨
On site we’re checking that the structure is ready for stone – walls straight, floors level, supports in the right place, service points where the plans say they are. It’s also where we stand with the builder and foreman and ask all the “annoying” questions early:
• How are we getting the slabs into the house safely?
• Is the framing strong enough for the weight of the marble?
• Are there any movement joints, waterproofing or access issues we need to allow for?
Catching these details now means fewer surprises later. It’s always better (and cheaper) to solve problems on paper and in the structure than to be troubleshooting with a finished marble slab at the door. Good stonework starts long before the first piece is lifted into place.
