I cannot believe she is 3! What a handful and what a “heart-full” at the same time. I don’t know how she came to be so funny, smart, goofy and so F’ing FIERCE! I managed to finish this painting before the end of the year! I admit the paint is still very wet. It feels like quite an accomplishment amidst the whirlwind of a year we have had. Yet, I feel tremendously grateful.
It has been exactly one year since Maggie started treatment for stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, and she is doing great! We still have a long road ahead—at least another year of intensive chemotherapy—but we are optimistic. Thank you to all of you who have supported us over the last twelve months, whether it was through our GoFundMe, a phone call, taking care of Rhys for a few hours, or driving Maggie to treatment—it has truly made a difference in getting us through some challenging days.
I aim to rededicate myself to my artistic practice more this year, despite all that is happening in our day-to-day. It grounds me in ways that nothing else can. I hope you have an excellent end to 2023 and wish you all good health and happiness in 2024.
I’ve just had my 15th treatment last Friday. Not a big deal for those who know. But I am on chemo at least two years. This would have been pretty tough, however my oncologist helped me to find a sweet spot where I have very little side effects. I feel good. I am ready to pick up life as usual again. I am currently actively looking for work in between the day to day of running a household and raising a child with my wife @forsythmeg . Meanwhile my ever supportive family has started a GoFundMe (link in bio) to help with the hospital bills and to just encourage us that life also can be generous and worth it. For those of you who already donated: THANK YOU. I feel very lucky and it helps knowing the pressure is off. If any of you would like to donate and can afford it, I’d appreciate that. If you just want to compliment me on my newly acquired skill of drawing eyebrows on my face almost perfectly, that also makes me happy. Long story, I know. I’ll let you go back to scrolling. ⭐️🥲
