⚾️ Pups in the Park - May 14th and 28th | Pups in the Park is back, and we can’t wait to see you out on the baseball field and cheer on the Dash.

Eighty-five years ago, our story started with a dog who caught the bus.🐾
Over time, animal welfare changed. So did we.

Spring may bring warmer weather and longer days, but for animal shelters, it marks one of the busiest and most challenging seasons of the year.
From an increase in lost pets to the arrival of puppies and kittens needing specialized care, shelters nationwide experience a major seasonal surge every spring. At Forsyth Humane Society, we see firsthand how important foster homes, community support, and compassionate care are during this critical time.

Meet Honey! 🍯
She is a 2-year, 7-month-old plump orange princess with a lot of personality and even more opinions.
She is currently on a special diet, but will still make time for important activities like rolling dramatically on the floor for attention, playing when the mood strikes, and supervising snack distribution.😁
Honey is a very sweet girl with a soft heart and a complicated relationship with stress grooming. These days, she is more focused on self-care, affection, and keeping her humans nearby at all times.
She will also express love through tiny love bites, so if you get chomped gently, congratulations, you’re one of her favorites.🤩

Summer is approaching, and that means camp!! 🐾🤩
Spots are filling up quickly, and you don't want to miss all the fun! June Sessions will be a Pet Kitchen where we will be cooking for our shelter animals! Making food and treats and maybe a few snacks for ourselves!
July Sessions will be Pet Paparazzi, where we will be making special collars, creating backdrops, and having photo sessions with our animals! Of course, we will also have crafts, games, and activities during every session!

Meet Festus! This sweet 10-year-old senior gentleman is the definition of a couch companion. 🤭
He’s happiest curled up beside you, watching TV, and soaking in all the snuggles. Don’t let his age fool you, though, Festus still has plenty of pep in his step and enjoys playing with other dogs when the mood strikes!
True to his hound roots, Festus may greet you with a howl or two at first, but give him a little time to settle in and you’ll quickly see his soft, loving side shine through.
He’s a “where-you-go-I-go” kind of guy who wants to be your shadow (and yes, your personal space is now officially shared space).😁
He’s a big fan of butt pats, cozy naps, and cuddling up with his beloved stuffed dinosaur at bedtime, because every good boy needs a favorite toy. 🦕
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will keep you company through every moment of the day, Festus is your guy.
