With less than a week until the wedding, I wanted to say a couple words about the men I’ve chosen to stand with me.
Jack, Ryan, Justin, Alec, Nick, and Jason.
Not many people are able to say that they’ve gone through life with the same group of friends they’ve known since 1st grade. I am fortunate enough to say that I am part of a very exclusive club in that regard.
I have always believed in the notion that friends are the family you can choose. You have all been there for me through both the best and worst days of my life, and for that, no matter where our paths lead us, you will all forever hold a permanent place in my heart as my brothers.
Erik, my true brother, I know this post is late but thank you for helping to organize such a fantastic weekend with my favorite people. And Jared, my soon-to-be Brother-in-Law. I promise to be the best addition to your family I can be.

Everything happens for a reason.
It’s a notion that I used to rebel against, but this year, I’m giving thanks to my worst days. Both past and future.
Every heartbreak.
Every career setback.
Every crappy landlord.
Only recently in my life have I been able to truly look around me and recognize that nothing I have today would have been possible without those worst days. So the next time they come around, I’ll be sure to say thank you, because you never quite know what they can turn into.
At 28, I look around and find myself running short on wishes. It seems the past 27 have already come true….
I’m endlessly grateful for the life I’ve found and the love I’m surrounded by every day.
