former comet began as a personal archive, a place to collect what moved me, from objects and images to ideas shaped by East Asian art and philosophy.
My academic background is in modern history and East Asian art studies, and my perspective is a product of my education and my biracial Korean American heritage.
Before co-founding my creative studio, I was a classically trained dancer, worked in film, and spent almost a decade in fashion technology, which shaped the way I see light, texture, and movement.
former comet is a product of the feelings collected along the way, an evolving record of research, aesthetics, and connection, tracing the influence of East Asian artistic traditions on my modern creative life.
Through essays, images, and sound, I explore how art becomes a language connecting worlds.
Originally, I think we are all former comets.

is it noise pollution? is it ambient? the soundscape of LA?
why do we accept noise but not air pollution? what are the long term health effects of constant, low grade noise? what is welcome vs unwelcome sound?
is quiet a privilege or a right?
