The Dutch Barn. 250sqm curved roof construction 🏗️

First we carefully removed and reinstated the existing steel gable trusses, turning them into an internal feature that stays true to the original building. We then installed four large curved steels connected by two central posts, along with two additional timber trusses, before re fitting the existing metal roof sheets to create the new internal ceiling finish.
The roof joists float above, connecting from the blockwork gables into the curved steels and over the timber trusses to form the main roof structure. Infilling with PIR insulation, SuperQuilt over and a double layer of 9mm ply onto battens to give us the desired curve. A membrane, Z-purlins, and the final corrugated roof cladding seal the deal here and what a result. 🙌 Very pleased with this one and what an effort from the team!👷🏼♂️

A timeless transformation ✨
As part of a full house renovation, we transformed the living room while honouring its original character, keeping the existing flooring and statement chandelier. We elevated the space with classic wall panelling, warm layered lighting, full redecoration and elegant new furnishings.
Bespoke rugs help zone the expansive room and adds inviting warmth, while a round table by the front window creates the perfect spot to enjoy sweeping views of the grounds. Artwork and carefully curated details complete the look, bringing modern comfort and heritage charm together in one cohesive, elegant space.
