This year, a lot happened around us. Some days were heavier than others, and the world felt a little louder. Yet somehow, people still came in—to read, to browse, to sit with books, or just to take a breather.
In 2025, we welcomed new faces, saw familiar ones return, watched the space fill with readers of all ages, and continued growing our shelves and community—one visit at a time. All of it happened because of you.
As we get ready to welcome 2026, we’re carrying these moments with us: the conversations, the reading hours, the shared love for stories.

Introducing another corner of Foreword’s Literary Garden 🌱
Curated by @haikalstr , this shelf feels a lot like wandering through a library as a child — curious, unstructured, and full of unexpected discoveries waiting between rows of our collections.
Inside, you’ll find books Haikal has loved, books he’s yet to read, and books he simply wanted to live a little longer outside his own room.
One of our favorite lines from his note: “Libraries are physical holders of facts and knowledge and words and ideas, a buffet for enjoyers of knowing things.”
You can now browse Haikal’s shelf at Foreword, pick something up, and maybe leave with a new favorite you weren’t looking for in the first place.
We believe reading grows through people. 📚
Through books recommended during conversations, discussions that somehow continue long after Friday Findings ends, and the simple experience of being surrounded by people who still get excited about ideas.
Over time, we’ve realized that sometimes people don’t stop reading because they’ve lost interest — life just gets busy, lonely, or overwhelming. And sometimes, having the right environment makes it easier to return.
This carousel is a small reflection on why Foreword @foreword.library continues to care about good books, shared curiosity, and spaces where reading can feel alive again.

Right now, you’ll find a growing collection of children’s books on the shelves, carefully picked for young readers. Over time, we’ll slowly be adding more titles from other genres too.
