Dr. Ferren Gipson is a British-American art historian, artist, writer, & broadcaster whose research and projects span a wide range of themes, including popular culture, materiality, modernity, power, and iconography.
Abigail Booth part of the artist duo behind Forest + Found works with the emotional capacity of material objects to embody intergenerational memory across time and space. Working across a multi-disciplinary language of textiles, painting, sculpture and print, Booth reflects on the intrinsic relationship of her materials both to the human body and the psychological condition, her works made from textiles, earth, bone, hair, wood and charcoal are multi-layered, tactile manifestations of our shifting understanding of place and identity.
The exhibition The House is Full of Ghosts brings together artists Max Bainbridge and Abigail Booth of studio collective Forest + Found in an unflinching yet tender exploration of the psychology of the domestic house. Their works inhabit the architecture of rooms at once familiar in their proportions yet disquieted by the absence of their inhabitants.

Artist duo Forest + Found invited 8 Holland Street into their newly built Somerset studio, where home and work seamlessly intertwine. Built beside their 17th-century stone cottage, the studio gives each artist space for their individual practices while creating an environment shaped by shared rituals, materials and conversation.
At one end of the studio, Max Bainbridge works with monumental sections of wood, carving, casting and assembling sculptural pieces that explore material history and form. Next door, Abigail Booth transforms found domestic objects using soot, gesso and natural materials, creating quietly powerful works rooted in memory, landscape and the psychology of the home.
Together, their practices intersect through Forest + Found, a collaborative space for exhibitions, curation and dialogue while maintaining distinct artistic voices. As they prepare for their upcoming exhibition, The House is Full of Ghosts, with 8 Holland Street during London Craft Week 2026, the studio is alive with new works slowly taking shape through hands-on, materially driven processes.

“Prophetic Land” is a poetic response to the changing nature of our complex landscapes and natural environment. Immersed in their relationship to the land and place, artists Max Bainbridge and Abigail Booth have developed a heightened sensitivity to reading the natural world, looking beyond the mask of the picturesque to the environmental collapse of its ecosystems. Their works reflect the paradoxical role humans have played in disrupting the ecological balance, as well as the urgent need to find new ways to reverse this trend.
