Y’all, this was hard. This was my first capital raise with external investors, my first time registering an investment with the SEC, first time figuring out the math for how to value and forecast business value for a hotel, first time stalling with an acquisition and bringing in new partners well after being under contract to purchase. But we fucking did it.
I have learned so much through this process and am so proud of all of us: Mom for making this possible in the first place and getting us incredible owner financing, Harshad for endless takes of underwriting and investor presentations, Ishita for the design vision and now for all the grey hairs you will get in planning the transformation that’s coming soon.
