Kip and Chris met at school and instantly became fast friends. Neither of them had straightforward childhoods - the Jon Egging Trust is the charity they wish they’d had growing up. JET supports young people facing adversity to have a stronger start in life - building resilience, confidence and life skills through their Blue Skies programme. That’s why Kip and Chris have spent the past 41 days rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic - to show that what you start with doesn’t define where you can go. Determination and resilience are stronger than anything trying to hold you back đŸ’Ș 🚣 They’re set to finish the row TODAY - so please consider donating to the fundraiser! 🚣 Link is in the bio - and all donations are being matched by our anonymous donor until Monday!! đŸ„ł 📾 Blue Skies photos courtesy of @joneggingtrust #joneggingtrust #forcehorizon #worldstoughestrow #oceanrow #rowingtheatlantic

Marlins were our biggest fear when we decided to row an ocean 😹 We’d seen previous @worlds.toughest.row teams encounter marlin attacks - including @invictus.atlantic.row , who had three!! - and we didn’t fancy that particular ocean experience. Marlins can swim up to 82 miles per hour, and unfortunately are big fans of the tiny fish that feed on the bottom of the boat. Makes it all too easy to get speared! Luckily we got a cool sighting with no attack. Maybe the new tape placement is paying off @worlds.toughest.row ?! 👍 .🚣. Hi, we’re Force Horizon 👋 we’re rowing 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in support of the Jon Egging Trust (donation link can be found in our bio and gives us such a huge energy boost!). #marlin #worldstoughestrow #atlantic25 #forcehorizon #marlinsighting

🌊 42 Days. 3,000 Miles. One Atlantic Crossing. A member of RAF Waddington has completed the World’s Toughest Row - Atlantic - a 3,000-mile crossing from La Gomera to Antigua. Departing on 14 December 2025, the pair arrived 42 days, 2 hours and 39 minutes later, rowing a 7-metre ocean boat on a relentless 2-hours-on, 2-hours-off routine. Out of 42 teams from 20 nations, their time ranks as the 13th fastest pairs crossing in history. They’ve also raised ÂŁ4,000 so far for the Jon Egging Trust - supporting young people to build confidence, resilience and teamwork. In support, RAF Waddington personnel took to the rowing machines on 4 February, with 28 rowers covering 186km across the day. An incredible achievement and a true display of resilience. đŸ’Ș🌊 #RAFWaddington #WorldsToughestRow #JonEggingTrust

What do you need to row an ocean? 🌊 Looking past the obvious - the boat, the oars, the food - the biggest driving forces are the ones that actually get you to the start line in the first place: support and sponsorship. We were incredibly lucky to have found this in spades, all in one place: the DSC team. DSC Engineering was founded by Chris’ dad back in 2003. Dave built the business on the things he did best: showing up, fixing problems, and looking after people 💛 Dave sadly passed away last year, but those values still shape the company today, now led by Chris’ brother Gareth. The entire team have been nothing but supportive of the row from start to finish - our biggest supporters across every aspect of our lives! 🙌 Keeping commercial kitchens running across restaurants, schools, hotels and MOD sites, quietly stepping in when downtime really isn’t an option, they’re exactly the kind of people you want in your corner - in a kitchen or in the middle of the Atlantic. #dscengineers #dscatering #thankyou #worldstoughestrow #sponsorship @ambler19

Hi all! We’ve been fully switched off to make the most of this time with our families in beautiful Antigua 🌅 We’ve barely scratched the surface on stories to tell, questions to answer, and all the many many people we have to thank. We’ll be in touch in due course! For now, rest and recuperation are top priority; getting our bodies used to land, sleep, and working at anything less than 100%! #forcehorizon #worldstoughestrow #atlantic2025 #oceanrowers #antigua

🌟3000 miles across the Atlantic for JET – mission complete! 🌟 After 3,000 miles of relentless rowing and sheer determination, Team @force_horizon and Capt. Jack Sp’Arrow arrived in Antigua on Sunday, having completed the @worlds.toughest.row across the Atlantic – all in aid of the Jon Egging Trust. Chris and Kip took on this extraordinary challenge, championing the same qualities we support young people to build every day: resilience, teamwork, courage and self-belief. Their journey has been a powerful reminder that when you set a goal and push through challenges, you can achieve the extraordinary. We are incredibly proud of their achievement, and deeply grateful that they chose to fundraise for us as their charity of choice. We’ll be catching up with them once they return home to talk about their incredible experience, and this is your opportunity to leave a comment below with any questions you’d like them to answer. A big congratulations, Force Horizon! Thank you for taking JET across the ocean with you. Final chance to enter the raffle to win Capt. Jack Sp’Arrow and donate to their fundraising page - you can find the links in our bio. #WorldsToughestRow #ForceHorizon #RedArrowsSigned #JonEggingTrust #JET #Fundraising #YouthCharity

We nearly ran over these snorkellers on our way to the finish line
😬 (just kidding, both parties were perfectly safe) But HOW COOL to have arrival pics from this angle?! These photos were taken by snorkellers who happened to be in the water as we headed into Nelson’s Dockyard. What a vibe 🙌 Huge thank you @purplediscodove who found us and shared these photos 📾 #worldstoughestrow #snorkelling #atlantic2025 #forcehorizon #snorkeldiscovery

When you first step off an ocean rowing boat onto solid land, it’s like trying to jump when you’ve just got off a trampoline. It feels wrong, because your brain has recalibrated what ‘right’ feels like. It’s still trying to compensate for the waves and the rocking of the boat - but because the ground doesn’t rock with you, you find yourself toppling over more often than not! Safe to say we were a little.. wobbly 🩒 #worldstoughestrow #landsickness #maldedembarquement #oceanrowers #whenyourlegsdontworkliketheyusedtobefore Footage courtesy of Worlds Toughest Row and @teamrowtalia 🙌

Post of appreciation for Memento Mori - this tiny little rowing boat got us safely from La Gomera to Antigua! Our shelter, transport, gym, kitchen and bathroom, all in one. She battled through the waves with us for 42 days, kept us safe and dry(ish).. it’s hard not to feel sentimentally attached. Quite an emotional moment seeing her being towed away to return home đŸ„Č She’s impossible to miss - and an absolute beauty - and we can’t thank @chriswarnerdesign and @signsandgraphicsukltd enough for that!! And of course, thank you to everyone at @rannochadventure for all your help with the boat itself. Look after her on the journey home! 🙏đŸ„č #mementomori #worldstoughestrow #rannochr25 #atlantic2025 #oceanrowingboat
