Meet Bethan Roberts ( @artbunnee ), the illustrator behind our newest public art installation on Queen Street 🎨
Working in collaboration with the @unisouthwales we gave illustration students the opportunity to respond to a live creative brief, with the winning design transformed into a massive mural on the former New Look store on Queen St.
For Bethan, this was the chance to see her work showcased on one of the busiest streets in the city. For us, it’s another example of how public art can brighten spaces whilst supporting emerging local talent.
As we head towards our BID renewal ballot, we’re continuing to shine a light on the projects helping create a more vibrant, welcoming city centre for everyone.
Have you spotted the mural on Queen
Street yet? Let us know what you think 👇

Proud to have FOR Cardiff supporting this year’s Cardiff Life Awards. ⭐️
At the heart of the city, your work continues to strengthen Cardiff’s business community and bring people together.
When we talk about the future of our high streets, we often focus on footfall, investment and experience.
Less visible, but just as important, is the legal framework that underpins how many places are funded and managed, via over 340 Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) across the UK.
