this sacred goodbye is not the way I envisioned we’d be celebrating my baby boy.

Jesse Baylor Dockery
up until we knew his name, I kept saying, “there’s a name that exists—I just haven’t been reminded of it yet”
after one conversation where I was sharing how desperately I was praying to know our baby’s name, 10 minutes later… Jesse came to mind
Jesse—the name of the pastor who prayed over Stacen as a baby, when his stomach was healed
Jesse—Stacen’s great-uncle’s name, a piece of family heritage
and when I saw that Jesse means “God exists”…
that was it. I knew it was his name
Baylor is my great grandfather’s name. Never met him but I love his daughter my Suesue.
at this point last week we thought Jesse was going to be born without a rectum, and would need immediate surgery.
he proved everybody wrong the minute he was born - he pooped! 💩
we’ve since discovered the exact virus that has caused his growth issues, jaundice, and the calcifications in his brain and Jesse is already taking medication for it.
his vision has been cleared as having little to no chance of blindness despite his prematurity.
there have been tons of little progressions regarding his jaundice levels, oxygen levels, and feeding!
Jesse is so calm and peaceful. He’s got a sweet demeanor and he’s so handsome!
Our little family already feels so complete now that Jesse is here.
January is finally done and February is here! time for a recap of the month:
highlights: We saw David and loved it! The film-score is gorgeous. The vending machine at my Drs office gave me 3 bags of Spicy Dill Pickle chips at once. Stacen cooked and made me like 20 cheeseburgers this month. Delaney had a tutu cute birthday party! I cleaned my computer of all its caches and made 120Gs of free space available. We did good preparing for the storm and celebrated our surviving with CFA when the roads cleared. My background check is underway for my real-estate license! Now all that’s left is the final exam. Stacen started police academy and is loving it. Meanwhile I spent a beautiful day touring around in downtown carrollton! Delaney and I got library cards and have loved going to play, read and get a treat from the little cafe.
now onward we go into the cute red and pink month. ♥️🩷♥️

VBS WAS A SMASH! I’m loving my group of Eves and treating them all like the women of God that they so confidently know they are!
my heart is ❤️🔥 for all the wounds and aches and illnesses in this month! there have been so many its hard to keep track, but I still know that God is in Control! 👑
My sweet hubs had a great father’s day! he’s approaching the peak of his dad arc! He dressed so snappy last week but I couldn’t even take a pic we were so busy 😢 🍮
Fun Fact about me: I was almost born at 11:58 PM June 17th but due to father’s day on the 18th being 2 minutes later, errrrrmmm how do i say this without mentioning contractions…my parents waited to have me until 4 minutes later
