Welcome!
Last weekend to visit “Svenskt Tenn: A Philosophy of Home” at @liljevalchs . An incredible exhibition. So grateful for all the collaborations we’ve had over the years, especially “Pleated for Frank” at Svenskt Tenn two years ago. Featured in this post are some pictures from the Folkform exhibition “Pleated for Frank” at Strandvägen in 2023. Folkform developed a new series of hand pleated lamps featuring Josef Frank’s patterns and fabrics.
The ongoing exhibition at Liljevalchs is the largest of its kind on Svenskt Tenn in Sweden and a collaboration between London-based curator and author Jane Withers @janewithers.london and Svenskt Tenn’s Head Curator Karin Södergren @kariningridmariaa . Thanks for a wonderful finissage evening yesterday @thommy_bindefeld and the entire team at Svenskt Tenn. Images by @emilfagander
You are most welcome to join us today at Landskrona Art Museum for a talk at 2 pm.
The exhibition is a piece of industrial history told through our work with the Masonite hardboard. A decade of investigations and experimentations with the board material resulted in this retrospective exhibition. Thank you @landskronakonsthall for inviting us. Pictures by @mrlefvander
Yesterday, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg opened its new permanent design exhibition entitled Design Stories. A journey of discovery in design from the end of the 19th century until today with over 500 objects from the museum’s collection. Happy and grateful that the book Produktionsoveller has been acquired by the museum together with Folkform’s Masonite cabinet with 18 drawers. The book, which is also co-founder Anna Holmquists thesis, is hiding in one of the drawers in the cupboard forever. Welcome to visit the exhibition, which opens today, November 9, to the public. Thank you once again Röhsska museum #designstories #röhsskamuseet 📷 @mrlefvander

Exploring water’s role in design.
With Tracing Water by Folkform, recycled plastic takes on new life as vibrant blue room dividers made from recycled polyester textiles, sparking conversations on reuse, recycling, and the intricate connection between water and textile production.

Tracing Water by Folkform.
Turning plastic waste into pleated room dividers, Tracing Water is made using Sport and Tero Outdoor. These textiles not only repurpose post-consumer plastic waste but also challenge the perception of reused materials. This perfectly aligns with Folkform’s mission to rethink material value. Sport uses 100% recycled plastic waste otherwise bound for the ocean, while Tero Outdoor reuses polyester, which significantly reduces water consumption during textile production.
